Q&A with Partner, Jennifer Chasson

With over 25 years of experience and 100+ successful transactions under her belt, Partner, Jennifer Chasson, brings invaluable expertise to the table. Whether it’s guiding as an advisor, mentor underwriter, or buyer, she’s dedicated to propelling family-owned and entrepreneurial ventures forward. We hope you enjoy the following Q&A that Jennifer did for the Nexia Women’s Day Campaign about her journey in the world of business advisory.

  1. Have you faced any challenges with inclusion within your career?

Over the past three decades, I’ve witnessed significant changes in the accounting industry. Despite facing obstacles, I chose to build my own ladder rather than climb it. I started my financial advisory practice in 2004 and subsequently affiliated with Zeifmans LLP in 2013. Since then, I have never looked back. It’s not that I didn’t face challenges, but I suppose those challenges didn’t stop me from trying something new.

  1. How do you encourage inclusion within your team and your firm?

At Zeifmans, we prioritize cultivating creative and diverse work settings that welcome everyone. With a team of over 180 staff members communicating in over 19 languages, we value inclusivity and embrace diverse backgrounds. When hiring, we prioritize skills and attitude, seeking individuals who demonstrate a willingness to learn and contribute positively to our team. As the sole female partner, I aim to serve as a role model for fellow staff members, striving to be approachable and supportive in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  1. What is the business benefit of inclusion within the professional services sector?

In the professional services industry, fostering inclusivity is crucial for achieving business excellence. A significant advantage of this approach is the wealth of diverse perspectives it offers. Our team comprises experts from various backgrounds, each bringing specialized knowledge and distinctive viewpoints to the forefront. This diversity enriches our discussions and problem-solving processes, enhancing our ability to deliver top-notch services to our clients.
