Community Outreach at Zeifmans

Great acts are made up of small deeds

For us, giving back isn’t just something we do in our spare time – it’s something we do at work. Throughout the year we host a variety of fundraising and volunteer initiatives, supporting local and international non-profits. Our passion to give back is embedded in our corporate culture, supported and driven by our partners. You’ll see people from every corner of the Zeifmans team participating in our community events because we believe we have a responsibility to help however we can.

Over the years, we have built a deep and sustained partnership with two amazing charities, both of which focus on the health and wellbeing of children and youth.

70% of mental health problems have their onset during childhood or adolescence, but only 20% of children will receive the mental health services they need. We’re doing our small part to help make these services more accessible.

Our impact

Reunited and back to spending time outdoors, we kicked our community participation in high gear with Jack Ride with Jack.org. Together with our amazing team, we matched funds and mobilized to raise tens of thousands of dollars for our deserving partners this year. Jack Ride is Canada’s Ride for Youth Mental Health, held each spring in support of thousands of young people working to create a better future for youth mental health in Canada.

About Toronto Firefighters Toy Drive

The Toronto Firefighters Toy Drive is a non-profit registered charity working with corporate partners to help pre-screened families in need.

Generous donations from corporate friends provide us with a Toy Warehouse (including the cost of utilities!) Over the past several years with help from the community, we have helped thousands of families celebrate Christmas each year. The Toy Drive is run exclusively through volunteer efforts, including those of both active and retired Fire Fighters. Here is a link to some of their most needed items.

About Chai Lifeline Canada

Chai Lifeline Canada is passionately devoted to alleviating the burden for children facing medical challenges, as well as their families. Their dedicated staff and volunteers work together on opportunities, services and support such as the Shining Stars after-school, art, equine and group programs. They work to make every day easier and special for the children, teens and families who depend on Chai Lifeline.

About Toronto Cares

Toronto Cares is a Canadian non-profit organization that helps low-income families with disabilities (including cognitive, physical, learning disabilities & mental health challenges) and homeless persons with necessities. Over 12,000 Torontonians have received assistance from this volunteer-run group and its programs since March 2020.

As fundamental as physical needs are, they believe that mental and spiritual needs are equally as important. They even go a step further by attempting to set people up for long-term success rather than providing quick fixes.
