Biography

Steven Metallo is a Business Advisor and Partner at Zeifmans LLP. He also co-leads the High Net Worth Group  at Zeifmans, which advises Canadian business families, entrepreneurs and management teams to create value and grow their business through a diverse range of services and customized strategies.

Prior to joining Zeifmans in 2008, he worked in the Private Company Services and Tax group of a national accounting firm for 5 years.

With over 15 years of experience in public accounting and tax, Steven advises family enterprises on all aspects of their business. As their trusted business advisor, Steven is often called upon by his clients to participate in and solve key business and family decisions including; estate and trusting planning, compensation strategies, corporate structures, reorganizations, family business succession arrangements, investment opportunities including wealth management strategies, negotiating financial arrangements, personal and corporate tax planning. He plays a crucial role in helping clients deal with CRA audits; acting for corporations and individuals at the audit stage, negotiating with the CRA, and making representations at the Notice of Objection or Appeals level.

Steven’s practice spans a wide range of industries: manufacturing, construction, entertainment, software development, food and beverage, hospitality, professional services, retail and service-oriented businesses.
