Completing client files, preparing financial statements, bookkeeping, and preparing personal and corporate tax returns, the qualified candidate for this role can complete mandates for multiple clients with limited supervision and takes responsibility for detail oriented requests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include and are not limited to:
o Applies relevant technical proficiency and knowledge acquired through assigned work, self-study, participation in courses, study of current technical reports and information for the following areas:
o Notice to Readers
o Tax – HST, payroll (ETD, EHT)
o Understands technical standards with the expected level of assistance and supervision
o Basic personal tax knowledge and ability to complete T1 and T2
o Strong bookkeeping skills
o Ability to recognize relevant financial statement issues from basic analysis
o College or University degree
o Working knowledge of Caseware/Jazz-it, Tax Prep, QuickBooks
o Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.
o Possess strong organization and file management skills
o Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
