    We are currently seeking an Intermediate Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

    Duties may include and are not limited to:

    • Completion of audit, review and compilation files and related tax preparation.
    • Builds effective working relationships in assignments with operational client contacts
    • Responds effectively to client requests
    • Provides suggestions related to an assignment or project
    • In house assignments such as accounting research or office administration

    Requirements:

    • Completion of a University Accounting degree and working towards obtaining their CPA designation.
    • Thorough understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax to be able to complete the more complex areas of an engagement
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.
    • Possess strong file management skills and organization
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware/Jazz-it, Tax Prep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting
    • One or two years of public accounting experience

    Duties may include and are not limited to:

    • Provides suggestions related to an assignment or project
    • Oversee and responsible for the performance and training of junior and intermediate staff assigned to the file

    Requirements:

    • Completion of a University Accounting degree and working towards obtaining their CPA designation.
    • Thorough understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax to be able to complete the more complex areas of an engagement
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients.
    • Possess strong file management skills and organization
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware/Caseview, Jazz-itTax Prep, QuickBooks and Simply Accounting
    • Over three years of public accounting experience

    We are currently seeking a Manager, Advisory & Assurance to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Professionalism:

    • Work with Senior manager to manage allocated projects or assignments, including financial management
    • Supervises a team of staff to ensure compliance with prescribed qualitative and quantitative standards
    • Develops the capabilities of less experienced staff through coaching, knowledge transfer, and internal training
    • Identifies and develops new business opportunities with existing clients

    Technical:

    •  Manages material of the highest complexity, specialization or urgency in the following areas:
      • Audit
      • Review
      • Notice to Readers
      • Tax
    • Maintains quality control standards throughout the assignment or project
    • Responsible for special assignments
    • Applies specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues relevant to the client’s business

    Interpersonal:

    • Focuses resources and provides team leadership
    • Responsible for the financial management of assignments/projects
    • Responds effectively to client requests and suggestions relating to an assignment

    Requirements:

    • Canadian CPA, CA designation
    • Thorough understanding of IFRS, ASPE, CAS and Canadian Tax to be able to carry out more complex areas of the engagement
    •  Five + years’ experience in public accounting, specializing in assurance engagements
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with external clients
    • Possess strong file management skills and organization
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Caseware/Jazzit, Tax Prep
